Hear God Speak

The public reading of Scripture is a spiritual practice in which a group listens to Scripture being read aloud—for extended periods of time on a regular basis. It’s a simple and powerful way to hear God’s voice.

Experience a Virtual Public Reading of Scripture

Now you can enjoy the community experience of a public reading of Scripture gathering virtually, from the comfort of your home.

What to Expect During a Virtual Public Reading of Scripture (PRS)

  • We’ll be listening to a dramatized audio Bible. The facilitator will guide us through an opening Psalm, an Old Testament passage, a New Testament passage, and a closing Psalm.
  • All you have to do is just listen. You won’t be asked to do any reading, praying, or sharing aloud. This isn’t a Bible study or a group discussion, but you are welcome to follow along in your own Bible and write down any personal reflections.
  • Afterwards, you can join the optional “meet and greet” time with other participants. This is the only time you would need to use your microphone and webcam, if you choose to do so.
